Can you deliver ground-breaking campaigns? Is creativity and innovation at the heart of everything you do?

We’re seeking a forward-thinking, motivated marketing professional to join our enthusiastic, high-performing team and contribute to the delivery of an ambitious organisational strategy, which aims to make our intellectual heritage accessible to everyone.

With excellent communication and people skills, strategic planning and campaign expertise, and strong business acumen, you will devise and manage the marketing for select commercial services and develop strategies to support fundraising campaigns and corporate partnerships. Working collaboratively with Content & Community and Press colleagues, as well as liaising with other staff and stakeholders, you’ll develop integrated communications plans which are grounded in data and insight and put the audience first.

You will have substantial marketing experience, with a proven ability to think creatively and use content to dream up imaginative campaigns on a tight budget. You will be comfortable using data to inform planning and optimise campaigns. You’ll be a natural organiser, juggling multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously and managing your own budgets. You will have a track record of supporting revenue generation, and you’ll be a confident communicator who can negotiate, influence and build strong working relationships with internal clients, suppliers and partners.

With a bold strategic vision and ambitious future plans there couldn’t be a better time to join our team.

As one of the world’s great libraries, our duty is to preserve the nation’s intellectual memory for the future. At present we have well over 150 million items, in most known languages, with three million new items added every year. We have manuscripts, maps, newspapers, magazines, prints and drawings, music scores, and patents. We operate the world’s largest document delivery service providing millions of items a year to customers all over the world. What matters to us is that we preserve the national memory and enable knowledge to be created both now and in the future.

In return we offer a competitive salary and a number of excellent benefits.  Our pension scheme is one of the most valuable benefits we offer, as our staff can become members of the Alpha Pension Scheme where the Library contributes 20.9%. Another significant benefit the Library provides is the provision of a flexible working hours scheme which could allow you to work your hours flexibly over the week and to take up to 5 days flexi leave in a 3 month period. This is on top of 25 days holiday from entry and public and privilege holidays.
