The British Library is looking for a Copyright & Licensing Executive to join the Copyright and Licensing team. This role would suit someone with excellent interpersonal skills, strong administrative skills and a keen interest in working in Rights and Licensing.
The role will take responsibility for smooth running of the team and systems and provide support to members of both the Copyright & Licensing and Imaging departments.
Assist in coordinating copyright support within the Library
Review the copyright documentation used internally and externally alongside Copyright & Licensing Managers.
Administrate the copyright team inboxes.
Coordinate notice and takedown support within the Library
On designated projects, investigating collections and determining copyright and IP issues which might affect digitisation or licensing
Support the design and implementation of a documented management system aimed at – defining procedure, process, recording contractual details and providing audit trails as appropriate.
Provide administrative support to the Head of Business Development and the Licensing and Copyright Managers
Work with Copyright and Licensing Managers to ensure the processes and systems above reflect current Copyright law and British Library policies.
Provide materials and support for internal copyright staff training.
Excellent administrative skills and attention to detail.
Basic understanding of Copyright and Intellectual Property law.
Strong communication and presentational skills, including the ability to explain complex issues clearly to internal stakeholders at all levels.
Methodical approach, eye for detail, comfortable with numbers and details.
High degree of enthusiasm, integrity and self-motivation
