Learning Assistant, Unlocking Our Sound Heritage

This role will work in the Learning Team with a focus on a new major project for the British Library, Unlocking Our Sound Heritage, funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund. This is an innovative and transformational partnership project which aims to digitally preserve the nation’s most at-risk and vulnerable audio collections and open them up to new audiences UK-wide, in partnership with 10 organisations across the UK.
The post holder will be central in ensuring the effective delivery of these programmes, supporting the day to day delivery of activities, workshops, events and projects. The Learning Assistant will work with the team to support the coordination of the programme with responsibility for operational and administrative tasks.
The post holder will have experience of assisting with events and activities within the educational and/or cultural sector and preferably be educated to degree standard or equivalent. They will need to have excellent attention to detail in terms of planning and delivering and ability and confidence to speak with learners of all ages.
This post is part of a Heritage Lottery funded project.
