Full Time, Permanent
The British Library’s Business Development, Partnerships and Licensing Department is looking for a Licensing and Copyright Manager, based in London, to join their industrious and effective team. The post requires a candidate with substantial experience of licensing and negotiation who will use their skills to develop new relationships with publishers in order to support library services.
The candidate must be able to demonstrate significant experience
of negotiating contractual agreements within the information and/or publishing
industry and be highly persuasive and possess first-class influencing
skills. Alongside these requirements the
candidate must have a strong business and customer focus and be able to explain
complex contractual and rights related issues clearly to internal and external
stakeholders at all levels. The successful
candidate will be responsible for negotiating and drafting agreements, ensuring
documentation is updated and maintained and contract management. Providing
copyright and rights’ related advice will also be an important part of this
role.

of contract and copyright law.
