Description

EXTERNAL ADVERT

Full Time Fixed Term to 30th June 2019

The British Library is seeking an experienced process and reporting work package manager to lead and co-ordinate the delivery of all process and reporting requirements relative to the new Finance ERP system. You will have vast experience with process and reporting design and transformational change.

The current Oracle E business suite system has been in place for 20 years and was built and developed to support the business needs at that time.  Due to complexities built into the system, it is now increasingly expensive to maintain and difficult to make the changes required to meet new business and commercial requirements

The objective of this high profile project is to implement a new finance ERP system that can support the needs of the business as set out in our Living Knowledge. It is a requirement of this project to ensure that standardised processes are adopted as well as having a rationalised standard set of reports to be used across Finance and the wider business. This is an exciting and challenging opportunity that will suit someone with extensive experience of process re-engineering and reporting functional specifications on large scale ERP implementations. You will also have been responsible for producing standard operating procedures, as well as delivering end user training and have experience in the definition of test cases and outcomes as well as conducting system integration and user acceptance testing. You will have a ‘can do’ attitude and be prepared to challenge in a positive and engaging way.

You will work to the Finance System Project Manager who is accountable for the successful delivery of the overall Finance ERP System implementation and lead the Process and Reporting Workstream, ensuring appropriate coaching and mentoring of team members. Using your extensive experience of process and reporting together with your in-depth knowledge of Finance ERP systems you will play a pivotal role in delivering the significant benefits of this project.

In return we offer a competitive salary and a number of excellent benefits.  Our pension scheme is one of the most valuable benefits we offer, as our staff can become members of the Alpha Pension Scheme where the Library contributes 20.9%. Another significant benefit the Library provides is the provision of a flexible working hours scheme which could allow you to work your hours flexibly over the week and to take up to 5 days flexi leave in a 3 month period. This is on top of 25 days holiday from entry and public and privilege holidays.
