The Discovery & Access team is responsible for the search and discovery facilities that allow customers to access the physical and digital archives held by the British Library. The team maintain a number of instances of Primo containing over 80M records and these systems utilise a number of other services such as NGINX, which the team also maintain. The team are tasked with ensuring the ongoing security, stability and availability of these systems some of which need to acceptable 24 hours per day

This role is responsible for the support and maintenance of the applications providing this service to our customers. Typical tasks can include application configuration for new data harvests, through application testing to ensure the system is operating successfully to user support and answering general support questions
