The role of the HR Adviser is to provide a quality and consistent HR service which supports and advises managers across the library to ensure that the HR policies are properly and consistently implemented. It is a generalist role encompassing all aspects of human resources including sickness absence, supporting Employee Relations casework and recruitment initiatives across departments. The role holder will also undertake HR projects against commissioned outcomes under a Senior HR Adviser and will actively network within the organisation to ensure a productive response in the provision of HR services.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate experience of: working in a range of generalist HR areas; working with stake-holders resolving situations quickly and effectively and advising managers and employees on a range of generalist HR queries. Working on projects with set outcomes and timescales from an HR perspective. Good interpersonal & communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships is a must as is the ability to work in a diverse, flexible and fast paced environment. They will have up to date knowledge of employment legislation and professional HR issues and be working toward a professional qualification (CIPD or equivalent).
