The British Library, working in partnership with the Qatar Foundation and Qatar National Library is digitising, enriching and making freely available selected records from the India Office and medieval manuscript collection. We are a multi-disciplinary programme that includes library, archival, conservation, curatorial, linguistic, IT, imaging, administration and governance functions with external funding committed until December 2018.
We are looking for an Imaging Technician to join the Imaging and Quality Assurance team within our programme. You will join a team of technicians capturing digital images that meet Qatar Programme and British Library standards. You will also be required to participate in the production of other imaging products and to undertake quality assurance tasks related to imaging.
To apply you will have a background in digital imaging, knowledge of colour management in an imaging studio, experience of interpreting metadata, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to achieve targets to deadlines
